The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in 2011, but he instead made the move to Real's local rivals Getafe for £2.5m.
Arsenal and Manchester United were the English clubs reportedly keeping tabs on Sarabia at the time.
However, the former Spain Under-21 international admits he only knew about the interest coming from north London.

Sarabia, who made just one appearance for Los Blancos, has also opened the door to a future move to England's top flight.
Speaking to Goal, he said: "Yes, it's true that Arsenal were interested in me. Manchester United? People said it - I didn't ask my agent.
"I like the Premier League, it's an important league. I don't close the door to anything. Maybe it's a good competition for me and in the future I can play there."
