Neil Redfearn considers quitting Leeds United after assistant is suspended
NEIL REDFEARN says he could leave Leeds United over the decision to suspend assistant manager Steve Thompson.
Neil Redfearn says he is considering his position at Leeds
Thompson was today suspended by club director of football Nicola Salerno, with no reason given for the decision.
Redfearn missed his usual pre-match press conference as the club prepare to face Blackburn on Saturday.
And he said he was disappointed with the proceedings and may seek an explanation.
"I've got to have a good think (about the future),” Redfearn told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I love this club and I've loved working with the players. Me and Steve have worked together well."
Leeds sit 13th in the Championship and are unbeaten in five games.

Redfearn added: "It is undermining because we are trying to put something together under the guise that you are getting the backing you need. It's disappointing.
"Steve understands the game and the division and the players have taken to him. The results have been there for everyone to see.
"It seems like a strange decision and I would have liked to have known about it."
Redfearn is Leeds’ third permanent manager of a tumultuous season which at one point saw them flirting with the Championship relegation places.
A statement from the club earlier today read: "The director of football, Nicola Salerno, has today (April 2) suspended the assistant coach Steve Thompson from his duties at the club. This is an internal matter and the club will make no further comment on this internal issue."
