Dortmund issue ANOTHER warning to Man Utd over Mats Hummels after fake 'promise'

BORUSSIA DORTMUND sporting director Michael Zorc has warned Manchester United that Mats Hummels won't be leaving anytime soon.

Hummels has been heavily linked with Louis van Gaal's side this season.

And the German international was today forced to speak out to deny he had promised to join the Red Devils at the end of the season.

It has been claimed that Hummels could look to leave Dortmund in the summer with the club unlikely to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Like Marco Reus, Mats shapes our team and that should not change for as long as possible.

But Zorc is hopeful that Hummels can be persuaded to follow the example set by Marco Reus and commit his long-term future to the club.

He told Sport Bild: "Like Marco Reus [who signed a contract through to 2019 in February], Mats shapes our team and that should not change for as long as possible."

Hummels earlier took to Twitter to address the stories linking him with a move to Old Trafford, saying: "To make one thing clear. The alleged 'promise' is a complete fabrication, and that's putting it mildly."
