ARSENAL could have Mathieu Debuchy back in the squad for their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

The £12million summer signing from Newcastle played 66 minutes in a Gunners reserve clash with Brentford yesterday and today tweeted his excitement at returning to action.

The right-back is expected to return to full fitness this month but could he handed a surprise spot in Arsene Wenger’s squad to face Liverpool at the Emirates.

The Gunners are seeking to consolidate third place in the Premier League and could even leapfrog Manchester City into second if results go their way this weekend.

Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby also made comeback appearances against Brentford and Wenger will reveal before the weekend if they will be in the squad.
