However, the 26-year-old's goalscoring exploits have tailed-off having only scored once in the last seven games.
But Giroud, in the same period has got his name onto the score sheet eight times.

With both strikers on level terms with 13 goals apiece, Giroud is desperate to stay ahead of Sanchez in Arsenal's bid to secure a Champions League spot.
“I'm not going to say something silly because it'll be reported, but why not finish ahead of Alexis?” Giroud told RMC.
“We push each other, we're on 13 goals, and I would like to score some more to help the team achieve its objectives.”
