ARSENAL legend Robert Pires believes Arsene Wenger is driven to succeed because he loves football.

Wenger is the Premier League's longest-serving manager, and has been in charge of the Gunners since 1996.

The north London outfit are well placed to secure Champions League football once again as they currently sit in third spot in the Premier League.

And Pires who was a part of the infamous 'Invincibles' side of 2003/04, believes Wenger shows no signs of slowing down.

"It's not a question of strength. He's not tired," Pires said.

"He still has that desire to be on the pitch, because he loves it, it's his vocation, he's been doing it for many years.

"His aim is to qualify for the Champions League, which I think will happen, and what is certain is that you will see him on the bench again next year."
