Mancini names Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool targets among FIVE players Inter will sign

ROBERTO MANCINI has outlined five “top players” he wants to sign for Inter this summer, including Manchester City ace Yaya Toure.

The former City manager is gearing up for a pre-season spending spree, with owner Erick Thohir willing to part with heavy cash to get his club back to the top of Italian football.

Inter have struggled in the Serie A this season but Mancini has a remit for next term: win the title and qualify for the Champions League.

To do so, he is already preparing a summer clear-out and has made steps to bring in new recruits.

And top of Mancini’s shopping list is Torino full-back Matteo Darmian, who is known to have attracted the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Both Premier League clubs are reportedly considering £11million offers for the defender but Mancini believes he can keep Darmian in Italy.

Meanwhile, the boss wants to be reunited with Toure and James Milner, and has outlined Liverpool target Yevhen Konoplyanka and Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin as future recruits

“I’ve asked the players for 10 wins between now and the end of the season,” Mancini said on Facebook during a fans question session.

James Milner is wanted by Inter

“We’ll fight to the end to qualify for the Europa League. Next year we have to fight for the Scudetto.

“In the summer we’ll sign a top player, because we are Inter, a top team.

“I like Darmian, Milner’s contract is expiring, he’ll decide what’s best for him.

“Toure is a City player, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Mattia Perin are both good players. (Sporting director) Piero Ausilio is working on it.”

Inter are already thought to be tracking United striker Javier Hernandez and Marseille’s Andre Ayew in a £30m double swoop financed by Thohir.
