Claudio Beauvue is reportedly wanted by Everton

The Toffees are reported to be in for 26-year-old Claudio Beauvue, Guingamp’s prolific front man who has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season.

Manager Roberto Martinez is actively seeking to boost his strike force and, according to L’Equipe, Guadeloupe international Beauvue has moved to the top of his list.

However, in order to pursue Beauvue, Martinez is expected to drop his interest in Ghana international Ayew, who is wanted by Manchester United and Liverpool.

Ayew, 25, will be available on a free transfer this summer when his contract expires at Marseille.

And Marseille president Jose Anigo has already suggested that Ayew is destined to find a new team.

He said: "I regret he will leave. He will not extend the contract, so I feel he will go."

Although a free signing would appeal to Everton, United and Liverpool’s financial muscle means they could offer Ayew a far heftier contract, leaving Martinez to focus on the Beauvue capture instead.
