Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas HITS BACK at critics after dip in form

CESC FABREGAS claims he is going through a 'great moment' at Chelsea despite a recent dip in his form.

Cesc Fabregas Player Profile

The Spaniard joined the Blues in the summer for £25m and hit the ground running with two Premier League goals and 15 assists in his first six months.

However, since picking up a hamstring injury at the end of January, the 27-year-old midfielder has failed to continue his form - setting up just one goal in the last five league outings.

That hasn't bothered Fabregas, though, who is just enjoying being a regular feature for the Premier League leaders.

I am going through a great moment, both personally and athletic

He said: "I am going through a great moment, both personally and athletic. I have no reason not to be happy. I enjoy everything that happens to me.

"I am practically playing every minute for my team and that’s what makes me happy. To be important is fundamental. Now we have to fight hard for the Premier League to end a great year.

"I do not think I’ve lost my place in the team because I’ve never been undisputed, the important thing is the team and if the coach does not put you, it is because they are better."
