Belgian paper Het Laatste Nieuws say City are doing their upmost to convince De Bruyne to return to the Premier League and link up with international team mate Vincent Kompany.

De Bruyne had a short spell in England after joining Chelsea in 2012 but left in January 2014 after just nine appearances for £18m.

PSG and Bayern Munich are also rumoured to have an interest in De Bruyne but Wolfsburg are said to be determined to hold onto the Belgian who has 14 goals and 24 assists this campaign.
