PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have been ruled out of the race for Paul Pogba, according to reports.

The Ligue 1 outfit had been desperate to bring Pogba back to France if he leaves Juventus, as expected this summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all also thought to be keen on landing the 22-year-old.

It was claimed earlier this week that PSG had offered both Edinson Cavani and Marco Verratti in exchange for Pogba.

But according to Italian paper Tuttosport, that offer was rejected with Juve looking for £60million in cash.

Paul Pogba could prove too expensive for PSG

Right now it's pure utopia.

PSG can't afford to spent any more that £44m on a new arrival without letting players depart due to Financial Fair Play restrictions.

And it has also been claimed that PSG would never countenance Verratti's departure in a bid to land Pogba.

Donato Di Campli - an agent familiar with PSG's thinking - told Rai Sport: "Right now it's pure utopia.

"Marco is among the top five players in the world: his price-tag is approaching €50m (£36m).

"When he went to Paris nobody believed, there were many doubts about him; but he played right away and is now a fixture in the first team."
