Hazard: Mourinho made a MISTAKE in letting Man Utd target De Bruyne leave Chelsea

EDEN HAZARD has questioned Jose Mourinho's decision to let Kevin De Bruyne leave Chelsea for Wolfsburg.

Kevin De Bruyne Player Profile

De Bruyne has been linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United or City after heading to the Bundesliga last January.

And Hazard believes the 23-year-old definitely has what it takes to have succeeded at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard told L'Equipe: "He is a great player. Mourinho decided to let him go and not play him.

"It was not my decision, even though I know very well that he could play at Chelsea because he has tremendous qualities.

"I think at Chelsea, you have more pressure than Wolfsburg. It's a shame he's gone but he'll have a successful career."

Hazards comments come just a day after John Terry backed Mourinho's instincts in the transfer market.

The Blues skipper told The Sun: "He wants the best out of everyone on a daily basis.

"You look at some of the world-class players we've had, Juan Mata, David Luiz, players like that who've left the club.

"He's seen something — I don't know what — to let those big players go.

"So he makes big judgment calls and he gets them right."
