Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge suffers new injury blow and could miss Arsenal clash
DANIEL STURRIDGE has been left “absolutely devastated” by his latest injury setback after Roy Hodgson revealed the Liverpool striker has suffered a tear to his hip muscles.
The medical bulletin casts doubts on whether the forward will be fit to face Arsenal on April 4.
Sturridge played 90 minutes and scored in Sunday’s defeat by Manchester United but left Anfield limping and underwent scans when reporting for England duty on Monday which showed damage to his hip flexors.

“I’m a little bit disappointed for Daniel Sturridge because when he came to us he didn’t really feel there was really any problem at all,” said Hodgson.
“When we did the scan and it turned out that there was a problem he was absolutely devastated because he didn’t want to leave us. There was no option because he has a slight tear and you can’t play through that.”
