Juan Cuadrado has admitted Jose Mourinho acts like a father figure

The £26million man has played just 175 minutes since joining Chelsea in January from Italian outfit Fiorentina.

But he admits he's happy at the club and it's all thanks to Mourinho's father-like approach to man management.

He said: "I am happy. I am adapting to the city, the game and the new teammates.

"Mourinho has made a good impact me. He is an excellent person. With the media, during the interviews, he is a different person but with the players he is like a father.

"He told me that besides attacking I need to mark the rivals but I am used to it. In Italy, [Vincenzo] Montella also told me that I had to defend, not just attack.

Cuadrado failing to make an immediate impact on the Premier League has led some to question the move.

However, the winger feels that, given time to settle, he will come up with the goods to succeed in the Premier League.

He added: "The Premier League is a little bit different [to the Italian league]

"The transition from defence to attack is very fast. But the Colombian players are ready for it. We must be patient and with time you will see the results."
