Chelsea require HUGE contract offer to beat Man Utd and City to £30m Felipe Anderson

CHELSEA must be willing to offer striker Felipe Anderson a huge contract if they are to prise him away from Italian side Lazio.

Felipe Anderson is reportedly valued at £30million

The £30million-rated striker recently signed a new five-year deal at the Serie A club, much to the reported frustration of suitors Chelsea.

It is claimed Manchester United are also tracking the forward and sent scouts to his last two club outings.

However, reports in Italy today suggest Jose Mourinho's Chelsea are still lead the way to securing his summer services and are ready to reward him handsomely for signing on at Stamford Bridge - despite his new deal in Rome.

Chelsea - Most Expensive Transfers

Manchester City had been tipped bid for the striker but after the arrival of Wilfried Bony last January they will need to shed some of their attacking talent before showing their interest.

Anderson, 21, has scored 10 goals this season - all since December - and three from his last two games.

The Brazilian cost Lazio around £5.5m when he joined the club in August 2013 and has helped the club challenge for Champions League qualification this season.

Chelsea are in need of forward recruits as they have gone through the season with just three recognised strikers: Diego Costa, currently injured with a hamstring tear, 37-year-old Didier Drogba and Loic Remy.
