Rafael Benitez is set to leave Napoli in the summer

Former Liverpool boss Benitez is expected to leave the Naples side this summer when his contract expires.

He is reportedly wanted by Manchester City as a possible replacement for Manuel Pellegrini, who is facing the sack if City do not win a trophy this campaign.

But Benitez, whose side have 10 Serie A games left to play on top of a two-legged Europa League quarter-final with Wolfsburg and a Coppa Italia clash against Lazio, only wants to focus on his present commitments.

“In April we're scheduled for no less than eight games, and they're all very important, even crucial," he said.

“And then another eight or nine in May. We're still competing in three different tournaments and this club has the opportunity to reach great objectives.

“We are at a very important juncture for Napoli and I have to stay focused and think only of the team, regardless of what may happen to me in the future.

“That's why I'm only talking about my current club. I have to focus on the games we're playing.”

Benitez won the Champions League and League Cup while manager of Liverpool before going on to clinch the Europa League at Chelsea in 2013.
