De Bruyne has recorded 17 assists in 26 appearances with Wolfsburg second to Munich in the league and into the quarter-finals of Europe after beating Inter Milan.
The 23-year-old Belgium international has a contract until 2019 and is rated around £35million.
And according to German paper Bild Bayern are planning a summer approach.

De Bruyne's form has attracted attention from the Premier League with both Manchester clubs and Chelsea linked with moves.
Although he left last year, the Blues do have a history of bringing players back after selling them.
Nemanja Matic was re-signed last season and Didier Drogba returned this summer.
De Bruyne's Wolfsburg team-mate Marcel Schafer has urged the 23-year-old to stay with Wolfsburg for at least another season, hinting he may still struggle to get regular games at a top European club.
He said: "I think that our chances [of keeping De Bruyne] are really good.
"He has already experienced not getting so much time on the field at Chelsea, which is top club in Europe."
