Man City have reportedly approached Carlo Ancelotti

With pressure building on Manuel Pellegrini, City bosses are looking to the future and have Real Madrid manager Ancelotti in their sights.

Ancelotti is under pressure at Madrid having slipped four points behind Barcelona after the Clasico defeat.

And according to Sky Sports Italia the 55-year-old is considering the offer.

Pellegrini replaced Roberto Mancini in 2013, winning the title in his first season but this year City have fallen way behind Chelsea.

City currently sit six points back having played a game more than the leaders and were knocked out of the Champions League last week by Barcelona.

Ancelotti won the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea.
