Liverpool AHEAD of Chelsea in the race to prise Radamel Falcao away from Man Utd

LIVERPOOL are ahead of Chelsea in the queue to land Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao in the summer, according to the bookmakers.

Radamel Falcao Player Profile

Reports this morning suggested that the Reds have already made contact with Monaco to discuss a move if United do not take up their option to make the player's deal permanent in the summer.

Ladbrokes are offering 4/1 odds for Falcao to be playing for Liverpool on the first day of next season.

That puts them ahead of Chelsea - who are also reported to want the Colombian - who have been rated as 10/1 outsiders to bring Falcao to Stamford Bridge.

Juventus are the favourites if Falcao does in fact leave Monaco at 3/1 but the bookies seem to think a return to the Principality outfit is the most likely outcome at 6/4.

I'm not going to say that he feels happy because he's not.

Silvano Espindola

Falcao has already reportedly told Manchester United bosses that he doesn't want to stay at the club at the end of the season after it was revealed last week that he is not happy at the club.

The player's first agent and mentor Silvano Espindola said: "We talk a lot.

"I'm not going to say that he feels happy because he's not.

"We've spoken many times and cried together.

"It's not an easy situation because every player wants to play and every goalscorer wants to score goals, that's normal."
