Chelsea News: ANOTHER Costa row, £80m Pogba move, SHOCK Falcao swoop

EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest news from Stamford Bridge.

Radamel Falcao Player Profile

Chelsea are set for another club-versus-country row with Spain over Diego Costa.

The striker limped out of the Blues 3-2 win over Hull on Sunday and is set to miss Spain's Euro 2016 qualifier with Ukraine on Friday.

Spain have called up a replacement but are still keen to see Costa's injury and assess it themselves while Chelsea want him to stay in London.

Costa though has avoided punishment for an alleged elbow on Jake Livermore.

The Blues are ready to offer Radamel Falcao a Premier League lifeline, according to the Sun.

The Colombia striker - who has scored just four times in 22 appearances - is not expected to make his move to United permanent.

Louis van Gaal's side have a £42m option on a permanent move, however Chelsea may try to leverage a better price, while Brendan Rodgers is also reported to be keen on a loan move.

While reports also suggest the Blues will move for £80-rated Paul Pogba.

The France midfielder is out injured following a knock picked up against Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus chiefs have reportedly stunned the 22-year-old by suggesting they don't need him, having built a team model.

And Chelsea are keen to capitalise on the uncertainty.

Any deal though would come with competition from Manchester United, City and Real Madrid.

And finally Bayern Munich are weighing up a move for Branislav Ivanovic.

According to Germany paper Bild, Pep Guardiola has lined up the Chelsea star to bulk up his defence.

Ivanovic has just over a year left on his current deal may be attracted to the possibility of a longer deal, with Chelsea only offered one-year contracts to over 30s.
