Loic Remy: Why Jose Mourinho NEEDS me in Chelsea's title surge

The French striker came off the bench to grab a late winner for the Blues against Hull.

But Remy has been on the peripheral at the Bridge this season playing second fiddle to Diego Costa and has often even been behind the ageing Didier Drogba.

Remy's 77th minute strike on Sunday was his sixth in a Chelsea shirt, but the 28 is adamant he is important to Mourinho's title charge.

"The most important thing is that I helped the team as much as possible," Remy said. 

"For me as a player, it is really good to live this kind of moment with the fans — they were crazy after game.

“I’m just working hard like I showed people before. And I never give up. 

"I know that Diego is the No1. The manager needs me, I give my best for him. That’s simple.”
