Tottenham's Ryan Mason replaces Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana in England squad

ENGLAND have called up Ryan Mason to replace Adam Lallana for Roy Hodgson's squad to face Lithuania and Italy.

Ryan Mason comes into Roy Hodgson's squad

The uncapped Tottenham midfielder has previously represented England at under-19 and under-20 level.

Lallana was substituted at half-time in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

And the former Southampton man was ruled out for England today.

Mason had been tipped for a spot in Hodgson's squad for his Tottenham form, but was initialy over-looked.

However, today the FA confirmed he has been "drafted in" to the Three Lions squad for the two upcoming matches.

The 23-year-old has played 23 times for Spurs this season.

England face Lithuania on Friday at Wembley and Italy next Wednesday in Turin.

The FA confirmed Fabian Delph missed training today but is expected to be fit for both games.
