The Daily Mirror claim the Saint's have already accepted the 23-year-old's imminent summer departure, and have begun window-shopping for a replacement.

Ronald Koeman is said to be keen on Manchester City's Micah Richards who is currently on loan with Serie A side Fiorentina.

The full-back will also be available on the cheap, with his current contract having just six months left to run.

Southampton have already lined-up replacements for Nathaniel Clyne

If the Premier League holders fail to tie him down to a new deal soon, then Richards could leave for free in the summer.

However, Southampton will not have it all their own way, with Liverpool also interested given the likely departure of Glen Johnson.

Should the deal not materialise, Koeman is said to have other targets on his short list, namely AZ Alkmaar's Swedish defender Mattias Johansson.
