Mourinho defends Chelsea s penalties article [AMBIENT]

Jose Mourinho has defended Chelsea's "Penalty Puzzle" article on the Blues' website this week. 

The club published the piece highlighting penalty decisions in the Premier League and it has been hit with criticism from pundits and fans alike. 

"And I think it’s just a very objective article," said Mourinho. 

"It’s not an opinion, it’s not something that can lead to discussion, it’s just the numbers and no more than that.

Filipe Luis is determined to stay at Chelsea despite Mourinho's bid for Koke, according to the Evening Standard.

Atletico Madrid are keen to bring Luis back to the club but he is determined to see his contract out at Stamford Bridge. 

"When I arrived here in Chelsea, I signed a three-year contract, which I want to fulfil," Luis said. 

While Mourinho is keen to give starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek a chance to shine before considering a swoop for Inter Milan's Paul Pogba.

Mourinho, along with Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Pogba but the Blues boss wants to 

"And I believe a lot in Ruben, and I repeat next season the squad will be made in a way where Ruben is not a number, where he is a player to compete for a position."
