RADAMEL FALCAO is completely over his injury troubles, according to his mentor Silvano Espindola.

The Colombia striker has struggled since his loan move to Manchester United.

Since singing from Monaco he has hit just four goals in 18 games and has recently been dropped into under-21s to build up match sharpness.

But Espindola denies the injury he suffered last season is still bothering him, although did concede Falcao is struggling with the intensity of the game in England.

Espindola, described as Falcao's "mentor, religious leader, friend", admits the 29-year-old is not happy but insists he is not hampered by his injury.

"The injury is already forgotten," he told AS Colombia

Radamel Falcao can't get the intensity of the Premier League

The problem lies in the intensity of play, which is not yet full. He has to return to that intensity

Silvano Espindola

"The problem lies in the intensity of play, which is not yet full. He has to return to that intensity.

"Because the issue is not afraid of fall to the injury, it's lack of pace."

And Espindola is adamant he will recover his form and prove his doubters of his class.

He added: "When he scores next, everyone will begin to say, 'El Tigre has returned' but 'El Tigre' never went anywhere.

"It's weird because he has never experienced something like this, such a negative streak.

"It's a new situation for him and it all depends on when he scores his next goal.

"What we need now is for him to score."
