Louis van Gaal has admitted Manchester United will be his final management job

Louis van Gaal is monitoring a trio of British targets he is keen to bring to Old Trafford in the summer.

The Dutchman is keeping tabs on Burnley's Danny Ings and Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne while also eyeing Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

While Ings will not require a huge outlay for Van Gaal, bringing Bale back to the Premier League will be more difficult considering Real will be keen to recoup the majority of the £86million they paid for the Welshman in 2013.

However, United may be able to entice Bale to Old Trafford in exchange for David De Gea.

The Red Devils are fearing the worst for De Gea's future at the club considering he has yet to sign a new deal according to the Mirror.

Real Madrid are on red alert to poach the Spain international to replace Iker Casillas and the Spanish giants may be able to push the deal through using Bale as bait.

Van Gaal has been slammed for "destroying" Radamel Falcao's confidence at United.

Falcao's first agent Silvano Espindola believes his struggles at Old Trafford could be because of the Dutchman's approach.

Espindola told AS: "Van Gaal has little feel for football.

"I'm say this because it's not just an issue for Falcao, but many players.

"He is a manager who kills your confidence, just destroys it.
