The player's first agent, Silvano Espindola, remains in close contact with the Colombian striker and says he is currently enduring the most difficult moment in his career.
He told AS: "I'm not going to say he is happy because he is not. We have talked many times and cried together.
"It is not an easy situation because every player wants to play and every striker wants to score goals. That is normal.
"But at this time he is not being given a chance and this is also part of football.

"He is recovering his best form. When I speak to him I say that this can happen to any striker - a bad streak can happen and has happened to all the great scorers.
"When you are not getting selected of course there will be pressure."
Speaking about whether he made a mistake in joining United, Espindola added: "Many journalists say, 'Falcao was wrong. If he had not gone he would have been in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with Monaco'.
"It is easy to say that six months later. At the time he moved to Manchester United he had to do it. It was the best of the options available, no question.
"I know in his heart Falqui has a deep desire to play in the Champions League next season.
"I do not know whether United will qualify for the Champions League but that is his desire.
"At the end of the season he will decide but there is much still to sort out."
