United boss Louis van Gaal is keen on bringing Real Madrid ace Bale to Old Trafford this summer.
The Daily Star claim United have floated the idea of a £60million package deal for Bale including goalkeeper David De Gea.
Express Sport exclusively revealed in January how De Gea could hold the key to United's chances of landing Bale.
And with the Spanish press and some sections of Real's fans turning against Bale, United are said to be pushing on with a move.
It is believed Bale will be offered £300,000-a-week to return to the Premier League - on parity with the Red Devils' top earner Wayne Rooney.
