The Germany international was pictured trading jerseys with Geoffrey Kondogbia - a scorer from the first leg.

The Gunners lead Monaco by a goal to nil at half time at Stad Louis II after Olivier Giroud's 36th minute strike.

Having lost the first leg 3-1 at the Emirates Arsenal still require two goals in the second half to progress to the quarter-finals.

The shirt swap was reminiscent of Mario Balotelli's act against Real Madrid involving Pepe and has evoked criticism on Twitter.

Ozil remains on the pitch for the second half.
