The former England international linked up with the Citizens last summer after being released from Stamford Bridge following 13 years of loyal service.

Lampard, who has become only the second player after Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs to make 600 Premier League appearances, won numerous trophies during his time in west London, including the famous Champions League triumph of 2012.

He said: "Winning the Premier League [is the highlight].

"Obviously, I was at a fantastic club in Chelsea that had a very good team. I think I joined the club before the Roman Abramovich years, and it became a real golden era.

"I feel fortunate to have been involved in that, so winning the Premier League is the ultimate in terms of what you see growing up, to have a league medal, and to be part of a strong team."
