Arsenal fan HILARIOUSLY trolled by Adidas after Mesut Ozil criticism

ADIDAS have leapt to the defence of Mesut Ozil after an Arsenal fan questioned the German midfielder's choice of sponsor on Twitter.

Ozil formally had an agreement with American sportswear giant Nike before switching allegiance to Adidas in July 2013.

It is claimed that Adidas agreed to pay Ozil as much as £18million in a deal which extends until 2020.

But one Arsenal fan is still unhappy with Ozil's choice of backer and took to Twitter to urge the 26-year-old to consider a change.

The fan, identified only as Zak, wrote: "Ozil and [Lionel] Messi are too good for you. They should move to nike @adidasUK

"@adidasUK Ozil should have stayed with Nike. Adidas are s***"

But the German sportswear company had a hilarious comeback in store for the disgruntled fan, tweeting a picture of Ozil with Arsenal teammates Per Mertesacker and Lukas Podolski with the World Cup, which the trio won last year.

Their caption: "Winners wear adidas, Zak…"
