TRANSFER NEWS: £100m Liverpool star, Chelsea's Falcao swoop, Man Utd to land Firmino

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes that Liverpool's Raheem Sterling is worth £100million.

The Chilean claims that a lack of quality English players means stars such as Sterling are impossible to sign.

Pellegrini was quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: "Can you get [Raheem] Sterling? Maybe if you go to Liverpool with £100m you can. 

"If I want an English player in the position of [David] Silva who is there? Maybe [Wayne] Rooney, but who else?"

The Metro claims that Chelsea are looking to sign Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao.

The Colombian is unlikely to join the Red Devils on a permanent deal from Monaco, and could be on the look-out for a new club.

It is believed that Chelsea could sign Falcao for as little as £20m, although he will demand a weekly wage in excess of £265,000.

Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Roberto Firmino, according to reports.

According to Sport Witness, German media believe that United a keen to strike a £21m deal for the Hoffenheim star.

Louis van Gaal is apparently looking for a midfield playmaker, and feels that Firmino fits the bill at Old Trafford.
