Young last appeared for England in September 2013.
But the United man has been impressive for United this term, often operating in the left-wing-back role.
And Young says it would be an honour to return to the international fold.
"Fingers crossed I can get myself back into the England team," he told Sky Sports News and BBC Sport.
"I've always said that I want to represent my country. It's always an honour to play for England and hopefully I've done enough to get myself back in the squad."
