Jon Flanagan will get a new deal, says Brendan Rodgers

The 22-year-old's deal runs out in the summer and he has yet to play this season due to injury.

He returned to training last week following knee surgery and Rodgers says he hopes tie up his contract before the end of the season.

"Hopefully Flanno’s contract will be sorted out,” Reds' boss Rodgers said.

“He is working his way back to fitness and when that happens I am sure the contract will get sorted out.

“He is a big part of the future here. He did remarkably well last year and showed he is player who can play for many years at this level.”
