Marco Verratti talks Paul Pogba SWAP DEAL to dent Man Utd and Chelsea transfer hopes

MARCO VERRATTI admits he would be open to a swap deal involving Paul Pogba, handing suitors Chelsea and Manchester United a major blow in their summer transfer dealings.

Both Verratti and Pogba are known to have caught the eye of the Premier League duo and a summer of transfer activity is expected.

PSG ace Verratti has been linked to a move to England since January, with his agent regularly discussing potential suitors.

The 22-year-old is currently valued at £40million and the Paris club appear ready to receive offers for their front man.

Pogba, meanwhile, is valued at double Verratti's going rate and is set to leave Juventus come July.

The 21-year-old France international is reportedly also wanted by Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and, it seems, billionaire club PSG.

And when quizzed over a proposal that would mean the Ligue 1 outfit swapping Verratti and cash for Pogba this summer, the Italy international refused to reject any future move.

“I generally don’t like exchanges, as if a club really wants me then they’ll sign me and that’s all," he told Gazetta dello Sport.

"If PSG were to force me to leave in order to make room for Pogba, then that’s different.

“In any case, that’s certainly not an issue I need consider today.

"I ignore transfer gossip. If one day PSG didn’t want me anymore, then I’d pay more attention.”
