Yesterday Alves took to Instagram to deny claims in Spanish sports paper Marca that he had agreed a deal with PSG.

"You really believe what they say? I'm a little tired of listening to people talk s***… I love this club until death and I'd stay forever. But if one day I have to leave, I'll have the same balls that have got me this far, and I don't need anyone to speak for me."

And this morning Alves was again active on social media, uploading a video of him singing in a car.

"Joy, joy, I'm awake another day, with my feet on the ground, surviving in this tough world, without losing focus [to] follow my direction, with great faith in God and always with my feet on the ground, following the steps of my heart."

Alves has made 30 appearances for Barca this season.
