The France international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer, when Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly attempted to sign him.

The 27-year-old - who instead opted to sign a contract extension with the Ligue 1 giants - is understood to be keen on a move to England one day.

However - according to reports in France - PSG are keen to deter interest in their prize asset by setting his value at £35m.

Matuidi's agent - Mino Raiolo - wanted his client to leave during the summer.

It would have been good if he had changed club last summer

"It would have been good if he had changed club last summer," he said.

"But he didn’t want to and neither did PSG.

"I am still of the same opinion: it is good for the player and for the club when there are changes in the group. But Nasser did not agree, so Blaise is still here.

"Twenty-five clubs wanted Blaise! PSG refused offers, really big offers from clubs of the same standing as PSG."
