Liverpool set to land £35m Benzema with Real ready to rescue Falcao from Man Utd nightmare

REAL MADRID are ready to sell Karim Benzema to Liverpool in the summer as they line up a move for Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao, according to reports.

Falcao was dropped to United's Under-21 side last night and lasted just 70 minutes, after failing to make it off the bench against Arsenal in the FA Cup on Monday night.

And while United insist they are yet to make a final decision, reports suggest that the Red Devils are now highly unlikely to take up their £43million option to make Falcao's loan deal permanent in the summer.

Reports in Spain claim that Real remain interested in the striker, and believe Monaco are now open to a substantially reduced fee.

And that could pave the way for Benzema to make a move to Anfield.

The French international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the past, and is bearing the brunt for some of Real Madrid's poor form in recent weeks.

And it is claimed that Real will now happily offload the player for just £35m in the knowledge that the fee will be more than enough to land Falcao from Monaco.
