Eden Hazard and Kurt Zouma have potential to be world-beaters, claims Chelsea's Courtois

CHELSEA pair Eden Hazard and Kurt Zouma have the potential to become the best in the world, claims team-mate Thibaut Courtois.

Zouma signed for the Blues in January 2014 for £12m, but only joined last summer after spending the remainder of the season at Saint-Etienne on loan.

The France Under-21 international has since broken into Jose Mourinho's first-team, making 18 outings in all competitions.

"Zouma has a lot of talent," Courtois said. I think that he can become one of the best defenders in the world if he continues like this."

And while Coutois believes compatriot Hazard could one day win the Ballon D’Or, he believes the playmaker is some way off the world's current best.

"Eden is not at the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo," the Belgian added.

"They are above him, but he has the potential to be a future Ballon D’Or winner."
