Arsenal stunned the Old Trafford crowd with a 2-1 FA Cup win this evening

United lost their third home game of the season as Arsenal earned a 2-1 victory in the FA Cup quarter-finals tonight.

It was the Gunners' first win at Old Trafford since 2006 and ensured safe passage to a semi-final date at Wembley with either Bradford or Reading.

And Keown believes Arsenal had the confidence to take the game to United because the intimating atmosphere of Old Trafford no longer affects travelling teams.

"When you have performances like this, as Arsenal you look back and see it as a defining moment," he told BBC 5 Live.

"I think the aura of Old Trafford has slipped away now.

"They've lost nine games here in the last two seasons and under Alex Ferguson, that was six seasons worth of defeats."
