San Siro side Inter are under investigation from UEFA
The Italian giants are under scrutiny for FFP officials and were expected to discover sanctions imposed upon them last week.
It is believed the Nerazzurri face a financial sanction of £4.3m-£5m, plus a restriction on their European squad from 24 players to 21 that includes an increase in the minimum number of home-grown players.
And although the initial sanction is unlikely to harm the club too much, it could trigger an exodus of players come July.
Former Manchester United director and now Inter CEO, Michael Bolingbroke, offered an update on the investigation.
He said: “In regard to Financial Fair Play, UEFA are working with us to find a resolution.
“We’ve had a number of meetings with them and we’re continuing to do so, so we’ll let you know when everything is resolved.
“As of yet, there’s been no decision. In any case, we believe in UEFA and in Financial Fair Play.
“From our side, there’s the utmost respect.”

United will be keenly watching Inter's predicament alongside other Premier League clubs in the hope they can exploit the San Siro outfit's position.
Inter are already under financial pressures and are expected to sell a number of players in the transfer market - which FFP sanctions could accelerate.
And United have reportedly lined up Samir Handanovic as a goalkeeping replacement for David De Gea should Real Madrid make a bid in excess of £50m for the Old Trafford stopper this summer.
Handanovic will enter the last year of his contract this summer and so would prove a cheap signing for Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal.
