Cesar Azpilicueta has made some unsual selections in his five-aside team

Azpilicueta has been a key part of Jose Mourinho's side this season, making 31 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

But the Spaniard may not be set to follow in Mourinho's footsteps with a career in management judging by his five-aside choices.

Azpilicueta bizarrely picked both Blues keepers Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech as well as Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal in a defensive line-up.

He chose not to include himself but did bring in attacking team-mates Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.

"Wow, I don't know who to pick," he told Chelsea's official website. "Firstly, I apologise to any of my old team-mates if I missed you out, but it was so hard just picking five.

"I've played with some great goalkeepers. I don't know, there are too many to choose from!

"Can I pick two goalkeepers? Well, it is my team! I'm going for Petr and Thibaut."

"I'm not going to pick myself, so the defender in my side is going to be Nacho Monreal from Arsenal. He is my good friend, we know each other from Osasuna and he is a good competitor."

"My first attacking player is Eden Hazard. It's for obvious reasons."

"My striker will be Diego Costa. I know he's going to compete, be strong. I think we are going to have a good team with these players."
