Marquinhos is wanted by both Man Utd and Chelsea

The Daily Star exclusively claims that Jose Mourinho will go up against Louis van Gaal this summer in a bid to bring the Brazilian to England.

Marquinhos starred for Laurent Blanc's side in the 1-1 Champions League last 16 clash against the Blues, with Mourinho apparently impressed with the former Roma man's commanding performance at right-back.

Marquinhos Player Profile

Although primarily a central defender, Marquinhos could also provide good cover for Branislav Ivanovic should he make the switch to Stamford Bridge, and Mourinho is said to be lining up a £30m bid for his services.

However, Van Gaal is adamant that the 20-year-old will be a Red Devil from next season as the Dutchman also looks to complete a move for Real Madrid's Raphael Varane.

PSG are reluctant to sell Marquinhos, with a lucrative new contract being hastily prepared by the Parc des Princes hierarchy, but could accept a bid upwards of £40m.
