Harry Kane brace has Spurs eyeing top-four assault (and piles the pressure on Hodgson)

HARRY KANE has warned Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United that Spurs are still in the hunt for a top-four finish after his brace saw off strugglers QPR this afternoon.

Kane had suffered something of a goal drought heading into the match, failing to score in his last three matches.

But the striker notched up his 26th and 27th goals of the season to see Tottenham leapfrog Southampton into sixth place.

They now sit just one point behind Liverpool in fifth and three behind United in fourth.

"It's a massive win, we always seem to be winning 2-1," Kane told the BBC.

"I'm loving my football, being out there with my team mates and my mates.

Whoever can put a run together will be right up there

"I feel good and confident, it's important for a striker to have that. The second goal was a nice composed finish.

"There are a lot of top teams up there (competing for the top four) and whoever can put a run together will be right up there."

Kane - who has now equalled the number of goals scored by Gareth Bale the season before he left for Real Madrid - continues to push his claims for an England call-up with his impressive form.

But Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson - who watched from the stands at Loftus Road - has admitted Kane could still miss out on the international friendlies next month.

He told Sky Sports: "It's not always a question of are they good enough to be in there. It's more if there is space at this moment in time.

"Up until now most of the players that we've had, at least in the forward area of our squad, have done quite well for us during the autumn, so you can't include everybody unfortunately."
