Jamie Carragher has hinted that he'd be interested in becoming Liverpool manager

The former Kop star is currently working as a pundit for Sky Sports alongside Manchester United hero Gary Neville following 17 years of loyal service at Anfield.

Carragher only retired from the game in 2013, but in an interview with Scouse Bird Problems, the former England international claimed that he would be prepared to take over from Brendan Rodgers should Liverpool come knocking in the future.

I'm still passionate about it and maybe in the future if a job came up, or if the club wanted me involved…

Carragher explained: "I still love my club.

"I'm still passionate about it and maybe in the future if a job came up, or if the club wanted me involved… but it's not something I think about on a daily basis.

"I got to the match with my dad and son but that's as far as it goes.

"I've got other things to focus my energy on."
