MANCHESTER UNITED lead Arsenal in the race to land Edinson Cavani in the summer after watching the striker in action against Chelsea, according to reports in France.
The Uruguayan hitman looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after growing unsettled at the club.
And with United still unsure over whether they will make Radamel Falcao's loan move from Monaco permanent, they are reportedly taking a close look at Cavani as a possible replacement.

According to Le10Sport, United scouts were impressed with Cavani's showing against Chelsea in the Champions League last month and travelled to Paris the following weekend to get another look of the player in action against Toulouse.
While strengthening his defence remains a priority for Louis van Gaal this summer, but reports claim he will also look to bring in a world-class forward.
Indeed, United will now keep close tabs on Cavani until the end of the season before making a decision about whether he is the man to replace Falcao at Old Trafford next season.
