The last time Arsenal won at the Theatre of Dreams was in 2006, when striker Emmanuel Adebayor found the back of the net to secure a 1-0 victory.

However, Wenger is confident that his side’s recent away form is enough to end his winless run at the Red Devils.

The Gunners have picked up four wins in the last five outings away from the Emirates.

“I don’t believe too much in history I believe just in the performance of the day,” Wenger said on his record at Old Trafford.

“At the moment we are doing very well away from home and the size of the pitch is exactly the same everywhere.

“It is just down to how we turn up and how much effort we put in to win the game.”
