NABIL BENTALEB has warned QPR players to watch out for manager Chris Ramsey’s “aggressive” side as the battle against relegation really hots up.

Bentaleb says he felt Ramsey's wrath when he was at Tottenham

The Tottenham midfielder, like more than half the current Spurs first team, worked with Ramsey when he was at the club’s academy before his brief stint as part Tim Sherwood’s first-team coaching staff.

And while he appreciates the effort Ramsey put in to help him make it through to the first team, it was the in-your-face approach of the QPR boss which has left a lasting impression ahead of the reunion at Loftus Road tomorrow.

“He was really important to us,” Bentaleb recalled, “and for a few people in Tottenham. He spoke to us, he always believed in us.

He has his own way to play and he explains it to you and if you don’t like it you can go

“He always had this confidence and made his opinions clear to everyone. He is not shy or scared of anybody. He has his own way to play and he explains it to you and if you don’t like it you can go.

“We were not thinking about whether he would one day be a manager, to be honest. All we were thinking about was Chris Ramsey the coach who has mentored us and could be aggressive sometimes!

“He helped me a lot in the academy but I’m not going to say that I wish him all the best against us as he is an opponent to me.”
