The City captain has endured a rocky spell at the back for City and is replaced by Martin Demichelis at the back.

Fernando replaces Fernandinho and Jesus Naves starts ahead of Samir Nasri in a three-man midfield.

Wilfried Bony is dropped for Edin Dzeko, who starts alongside David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

Leicester, meanwhile, make no changes from the side that drew with Everton at the weekend.

They keep a five-man back line, with Andrej Kramaric up front on his own.
