Jose Mourinho is like George Graham

The former Arsenal and Tottenham boss was famed for grinding out results with the chant "one nil to the Arsenal" ringing around Highbury.

And Mourinho has been known to deploy defensive tactics in big games to stifle opponents - like in Sunday's Capital One Cup final win.

But Wright, who signed for Arsenal when Graham was in charge in 1991, thinks the Special One is similar to his old boss for his man-management style and admits he would love to have played under Mourinho.

As a player, there is no greater feeling than knowing your manager has got your back and that he will defend you to the end when everyone else is having a pop

Ian Wright

"As a player, there is no greater feeling than knowing your manager has got your back and that he will defend you to the end when everyone else is having a pop," Wright wrote in his column in the Sun.

"Fergie used to do it, George Graham was great for that at Arsenal… and The Special One is right up there with the best of them in that respect.

"It is blindingly obvious he adores his players and you just know they would all run through brick walls for him."
